Renowned Bongo Flava artist and son of the prominent Arusha preacher Dr. GeorDavie, Nic Davie, popularly known as Nisher and a celebrated director of Bongo Flava music videos, passed away on the night of December 12, 2023, at eight minutes past midnight.
Nisher death is mourned for his significant contributions to the Bongo Flava music industry, where he directed several popular videos, including “Kijukuu” by Young Dee and “Nje Ya Box” by Niki Wa Pili, G nako & Joh Makini.
The GeorDavie family confirmed the sad news, expressing profound sadness and announced that the funeral will take place at the Matamko House in Kisongo, Arusha. Further details about funeral arrangements will be provided later.

The news of Nisher’s demise was also shared on his father’s Instagram page, adding that his loss is a major blow to the music and video industry in the country, where he had earned significant respect for his outstanding and unique work.
