Idols SA’s Zama Khumalo continues her magical run with a new song titled “Sang’khumbula,” featuring Professor and Nicole Elocin.
It seems just like yesterday when Zama charmed the world on the set of the reality television show Idols SA. And clearly, the songstress has still got that magical voice that had drawn many to tears back then.
She had won the reality show last year and many had looked forward to a body of work from her. The record label to which she’s signed, Kalawa Jazmee, had promised to release her album but deferred the release date, citing unforeseen circumstances.
Now the label has released the project. It has “Sang’khumbula” as one of the songs. This work of forgotten recollection gains much from the contributions of Professor and Nicole Elocin.
This Professor is not a teacher at a university. It’s just an adopted stage name. But then the songster has distinguished himself as one o the voices worth hearing in the world of South African music.
The other guest artiste, Nicole Elocin, is one of the associates of one of the Scorpion Kings, DJ Maphorisa. This delectable muso is a delight to hear any day.
Well, it’s time to lap up the sonic feast that is “Sang’khumbula.”
