Zakes Bantwini – Bawo Ft. Amanda Black

tells a father’s tale with a song titled “Bawo,” featuring fellow South African Amanda Black. It’s a meeting of two favorites and they bring with them a song we love.

“Bawo” is taken from the lead singer’s “Ghetto King” album, which also features other interesting voices.

The song – you may say the album – drops after the brilliant run of “Osama,” a song that’s part of the project but was released beforehand… a song that snapped the number one on the radio chart in South Africa for several weeks.

We doubt “Bawo” will end up with similar prestige, but it’s yet a number to hear over and over.

Before electing to join on this song, Amanda Black had treated Mzansi to several winning numbers, including the albums “Power” and “Mnyama.” Well, as should be clear from her contributions on “Bawo,” she’s still a singer in power.

made a fine choice working with her. Their musical synergy is strong enough for us to want to see them together again – on another number or project.

Until then, you’re better off exploring the orbit of the number these two fine musicians have just unleashed on Mzansi. Come on!
