Vee Mampeezy – Re A Leboga Ft. Dr Malinga
Botswana singer Vee Mampeezy links up with his South African counterpart Dr Malinga for a song titled “Re A Leboga,” which you can stream here on UbeToo.
Vee Mampeezy has an interesting collaborative history with South African artistes, so it isn’t surprising that he should pick Dr Malinga for his latest drop. To their credit, they did great together.
Easily one of the most visible figures in Botswana music, Vee Mampeezy is one artiste who thinks that music should just be that – music – but that artistes should also use their songs to educate and lead the people in paths of the collective good.
At some point during his music career, Vee Mampeezy had not only called on his people to vote, but he had also called on them to imbibe the letters of peace while doing so.
Just last month, he had linked up with Zimbabwe’s Jah Prayzah of the “Chikomo” fame for a song titled “Bata Musoro.” Vee returns with a songster of another country, creating a number that’s just as engaging.
Dr Malinga is no medical doctor but a man of many parts. And he strikes us as an ideal choice for “Re A Leboga,” a song of amity and understanding that just about anyone can relate with.
