Sholo Mwamba

Sholo Mwamba, whose real name is Seif Mwinyijuma Haji, is a multi-award-winning Tanzanian musician from Dar es Salaam. He is widely recognized as a pioneer and leading figure in the Singeli music genre, an uptempo style that originated in the backstreets of Dar es Salaam and has since become a mainstream sound in Tanzania.

Sholo Mwamba’s music is known for its high energy, spitfire vocal delivery, and a blend of modern sounds with traditional African rhythms. His widespread popularity has earned him a large fan base throughout Tanzania and across Africa. He has released numerous songs and EPs, with some of his notable tracks including “Mguu Juu,” “Goma La Mwisho,” “Kimbia,” and “Anataka Uma.” He has also collaborated with a variety of artists, including Chino Kidd and Harmonize. Beyond his music, he has also been invited to speak at music industry events, sharing his unique perspective as a musical maverick who has achieved mainstream success.
