Okello Max, whose full name is Julius Okello McRymboh, is a Kenyan singer and songwriter. He is recognized for his unique fusion of Dholuo flavor in his music, blending traditional sounds with contemporary beats. He gained significant attention as a contestant on the Kenyan singing reality competition “Talanta Mtaani,” where he was the second runner-up.
He began his career as a background vocalist for renowned Kenyan artist Dela, and later signed with Sol Generation records in 2019. He collaborated on the hit single “Extravaganza” which boosted his popularity. He has since released his debut project, a Christmas-themed EP titled “Christmas Kolor.” His most popular songs include “Nakufa” featuring Bensoul and Amlyoto, “Kiss,” and “I Gatchu” featuring Bien.
