In 2015, These two beautiful Tanzanian ladies Zuchu and Nandy made their entrance into the music scene in 2015 after taking part in Tecno take the stage competition that was held in Nigeria.

They both didn’t win but Nandy came in 2nd, while Shapeera Makepeace, a 29-year-old teacher from Nigeria emerged the winner of this event with a grand prize of $25,000.

Despise not winning the competition, These ladies have done wonders in the music industry.

After the competition, Nandy released a couple of songs that turned to be hit songs, since then she has managed to dominate the game for years now.

Nandy was selected to represent Coke Studio Africa 2017, where she did a remarkable performance with the Ethiopian Betty G and though a newcomer at Coke Studio, got an opportunity to be upgraded to the high profile artists.

November made Tanzania proud after being nominated and winning the Best Female on the East Africa category in the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMMA). This was the first major award for this upcoming artist.

Recently WCB Wasafi introduced a new artist and this time a female artist, Zuchu a very talented young lady, coming from a musical family and background. She is the daughter of the revered female Taarab musician Khadija Kopa.

Zuchu was awarded the Silver Plaque Button by YouTube for hitting 100,000 subscribers within a week. She became the first East African female artist to reach that milestone within a week.

She also became the first East African female artist to reach 1 million subscribers on YouTube 11 months later. In 2020 Zuchu was named by AFRIMMA as the winner of the Emerging Artist Award.

Despite all that Zuchu is signed under Africa’s top music label so Far “WCB Wasafi” and this is why many people think she is the future of Bongo Fleva, coming from nowhere and breaking lots of records in few months.
