Salmin Ismail Hoza, professionally known as Kusah, is a Tanzanian singer and songwriter renowned for his contributions to the Bongo Flava and R&B genres. Born in Bumbuli, Tanga Region, Kusah’s musical journey began with songwriting for prominent Tanzanian artists, including Ali Kiba, Nandy, and Ben Pol.

He gained widespread recognition with his 2018 release “Kelele,” a collaboration with Ruby. Subsequent hits like “I Don’t Care,” “Nibebe,” and “I Wish” have solidified his status in the Tanzanian music scene. Notably, “I Wish” amassed over 10 million streams on Boomplay by October 2022.
In September 2022, Kusah released his debut project, the “Romantic EP,” featuring collaborations with Nigeria’s Johnny Drille and Kenya’s Femi One. The EP received critical acclaim, with Notjustok describing it as Kusah’s way of proving he is the next big export in Bongo Flava.
Kusah’s personal life has also attracted media attention; he is in a relationship with Tanzanian actress Aunty Ezekiel, and together they have two children.
