Bongo Flava emerged in the 1990s, influenced by American hip-hop, reggae, and traditional Tanzanian sounds. It reflects the life, culture, and stories of Tanzanians. "Bongo" is slang for "Dar es Salaam," but also means "brains," symbolizing the smart ways people navigate life in Tanzania.
The grand unveiling of “Swahili Kid” took place at Superdome Masaki, where D Voice not only made his official debut under the WCB Wasafi banner but also introduced his eagerly awaited album to the world. This album comprises 10 tracks that showcase the versatile talents of D Voice.
