Rashid Abdallah Makwiro, popularly known as Chidi Benz, is a Tanzanian hip-hop musician and entrepreneur. Born in 1985, he is considered a veteran in the Tanzanian hip-hop scene and is known for his unique lyrical style and influence. He is also the founder of his own independent record label, La Familia.

He began his career as a freestyler before gaining wider recognition after featuring in the Fiesta Bongo Flava music tour. He released his debut single “Unaniacha Hoi” in 2006. His discography includes collaborations with a wide range of artists, including Diamond Platnumz, Mzee Yussuph, Roma Mkatoliki, Fid Q, and Dully Sykes. His recent releases include the album Beautiful – Single from 2024 and collaborations in 2025 like “Hadithi” with Licoh. He is widely respected for his longevity and contributions to the Tanzanian hip-hop genre.
