We don’t know the two of them as serial collaborators. In fact, only one of them, Aubrey Qwana, has made a serious appearance on our orbit. Still, the two of them hit it off on this project.
“Amagalelo” EP is a pop collection with just five tracks. The compilation begins w3ith “Umdanso” and ends with “uBaba.” The likes of D.O.D, Anzo, Musiholiq, Coolkiid, Alie Keys, Howard and Mnqobi Yazo popped in as guest artistes.
There’s just one song without a guest artist which is not exactly cool for a compilation of this length with two lead singers. It would have been great if the two lad singers had adopted one or two guests. But that’s by the way.
“Amagalelo” EP is a sumptuous pop stew that we’re confident will have many music lovers licking their lips and asking for more a la Olive Twist. It’s a project of understated charm that should still be of interest to music lovers years from now.
