Tyler ICU Biography

Tyler ICU, born Austin Kulani Baloyi, is a South African DJ and record producer who has become a major force in the Amapiano scene. Hailing from Tembisa, Gauteng, his musical journey began young, honing his DJ skills at local events.

In the early 2010s, he adopted the stage name “Tyler ICU” and started putting his music out online. The big breakthrough came in 2020 with the release of “Bella Ciao,” a collaboration with Nicole Elocin, DJ Maphorisa, and Kabza de Small. The song skyrocketed, topping the South African iTunes chart and international Shazam charts.

It even landed a spot on the Money Heist soundtrack, further solidifying Tyler ICU’s global recognition.
